Instructions
- Step 1: Copy Your References
Open your manuscript and copy all the references you have entered manually. Make sure to copy the entire reference, including the author, title, journal, and publication date. - Step 2: Use the CrossRef Website
Open the crossref website link “https://search.crossref.org/references” in your browser and paste the references you copied in step 1 into the search box. Hit the “Match to DOI” button, and the website will match the references to the crossref DOI records if there is a matching citation. - Step 3: Use the Zotero Browser Extension
Click on the “Zotero” browser extension, and it will save all the citation records in your Zotero account. If you don’t have the Zotero browser extension, you can download it from the Zotero website. - Step 4: Export the Citations
Login to your Zotero account and export all the citations in RIS format. This format is widely used for exchanging bibliographic information between different reference management software. - Step 5: Import the Citations into Endnote
Open Endnote and import the file you exported from Zotero. Endnote will automatically format the citations and add them to your library.
