These terms apply to your use of seisense.com, the website of SEISENSE Publishing (“SEISENSE”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Our journals
The SEISENSE Journal of Management (SEIJOM) and the SEISENSE Business Review (SBR) are published at journal.seisense.com. Their policies on peer review, publication ethics, licensing, data and privacy, and the terms for submitting and reviewing, are set out on each journal’s own site and apply there. Editorial decisions are made by the journals’ editors. Articles are licensed as each journal states.
The manuscript formatting tool
“Format my manuscript” helps authors prepare the files our journals ask for. When you use it:
- you confirm that you have the right to upload the manuscript and to share the details you enter, including other authors’ names and e-mail addresses;
- the tool is an aid. It checks a manuscript against the journal’s template, but a manuscript that passes is not guaranteed to be accepted, and you remain responsible for the content and for checking the files before you submit;
- your files are available only for a short time, so you must download them in time. We cannot recover files after they are deleted;
- the tool is limited for each user and address, and you must not try to get around those limits.
Acceptable use
Please use the website lawfully and fairly. Do not try to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the site or its tools, upload malicious files, send spam through the forms, collect data from the site by automated means in a way that burdens it, or pretend to be someone else.
Staff accounts
Accounts on this website are for authorised SEISENSE editors and copyeditors only; the public does not need an account to use the website. Keep your sign-in details private. We may suspend an account that is misused or no longer needed.
Intellectual property
The design, text, logos and other material of this website belong to SEISENSE or its licensors and are protected by law. You may read and link to the website, and quote it fairly with credit. Please do not use the SEISENSE name or logos without our written permission. Published articles are covered by the licence shown on the journal site and article page. Authors keep the rights they have under that licence.
Links to other websites
The website links to other sites, including the journal sites, indexing services and social networks. We do not control other sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
No warranty
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information on it, including indexing and membership information that changes over time, is always complete or current.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, SEISENSE is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from the use of this website or its tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may change the website, its tools or these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms were last updated; continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts in Ontario have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to go to a court elsewhere.
