Journal Fit is a free tool from Seisense Publishing that checks your Word manuscript against the submission rules of SEISENSE Business Review (SBR) and SEISENSE Journal of Management (SEIJOM). If it passes, you get a title page, a blind manuscript (PDF) and a blind Word copy, ready for OJS. No account is needed, and your files are deleted after 60 minutes.

Requirements, steps and answers to common questions.
What you need before you upload
- A Word file (.docx) of up to 25 MB. Not .doc and not PDF.
- A title of up to 20 words.
- A total length of up to 10,000 words, counting the title, abstract, keywords, text, tables, captions and references.
- A structured abstract of 175 to 250 words with five labelled parts: Purpose, Design/Methodology, Findings, Implications and Originality.
- 4 to 6 keywords.
- A number and a caption for every table and figure, with figures inserted as pictures (PNG or JPG), not drawn as shapes in Word.
- Word heading styles, so your sections are detected. Author names, e-mail addresses and ORCID iDs stay out of the manuscript body; they go in the form.
How Journal Fit works
- Upload your Word fileChoose the journal and upload your .docx. Journal Fit screens it and shows a report. If anything is under "Must fix", correct it in Word and upload again.
- Fill in the title pageEnter the title and each author: first name, last name, e-mail and affiliation, with an optional ORCID iD. Mark the corresponding author, choose the declarations and tick the author contributions.
- Create your filesPress "Check and create files". You receive the Title page (PDF), the Blind manuscript (PDF) and the Blind manuscript (Word file).
- Submit in OJSUpload the title page and the blind manuscript PDF to OJS, and add every author in the same order as on the title page.
- Keep the Word fileKeep the blind Word file. If reviewers ask for changes, edit that file and upload it as your revision.
Frequently asked questions
What is Journal Fit?
Journal Fit is a free online checker and formatter for authors submitting to SEISENSE Business Review (SBR) and SEISENSE Journal of Management (SEIJOM). It screens your Word manuscript against the journal rules, then creates a title page and a blind manuscript that carry the same Document ID in the footer, so editors receive complete, anonymised, journal-formatted files.
Is Journal Fit free, and do I need an account?
It is free and you do not need an account. You upload your manuscript and complete the title page form.
Which file types are accepted?
Word .docx files up to 25 MB. Older .doc files and PDFs are not accepted. Save your manuscript from Word as .docx first.
What are the length, abstract and keyword rules?
The title can have up to 20 words. The whole manuscript, including references, can have up to 10,000 words. The structured abstract has 175 to 250 words with five labelled parts: Purpose, Design/Methodology, Findings, Implications and Originality. Give 4 to 6 keywords.
Which three files do I get, and which do I upload to OJS?
You get the Title page (PDF), the Blind manuscript (PDF) and the Blind manuscript (Word file). Upload the first two to OJS. Keep the Word file as your own record and edit it if reviewers ask for changes.
Does Journal Fit keep my manuscript?
No. Your files are processed on this site and deleted automatically after 60 minutes. The download links stop working at that time and the files cannot be recovered, so download them straight away.
My manuscript was rejected. What should I do?
The report lists every item under "Must fix", for example a missing caption, an abstract outside the allowed length, or a figure drawn as a Word shape. Fix these in Word and upload the file again. Rejected checks do not use up your allowance.
Where do author names, declarations and contributions go?
They go on the title page form, not in the manuscript. Declarations such as funding, ethics and generative AI use are chosen from standard statements, and author contributions are ticked for each author using the CRediT roles.
Which journals does Journal Fit support?
Journal Fit currently supports SEISENSE Business Review (SBR) and SEISENSE Journal of Management (SEIJOM). Pick the journal in the form; the template of the journal you choose is used.
Can I use Journal Fit again for a revision?
No. For a revision, edit the blind Word file you received and upload it to OJS with your response to reviewers. Uploading a manuscript to Journal Fit again is treated as a new submission.
